Planting Production Finish

Poplar clones reforestation

Poplar plantation is another activity that MADETOSA performed since 2000, either in company or individual lands, signing an agreement with the owner.

MADETOSA makes planting and takes the necessary care (pruning, irrigation ...) until the final cutting of the trees, which usually takes between 13 and 15 years.

MADETOSA had planted 58.514 poplar until March 2013. The most used clone is I-214.

Felling and processing

Once the poplar is able to unroll and having the right quality, our operators cut and bring them to MADETOSA.

Once poplar is in the factory, is peeling, unrolling, and the sheet is cut to the required length (so far the whole process is with green wood, with a very high humidity).

After drying and once the sheet has cooled, it sticks and the board is prepared, then it is pressed and we get the raw plywood.

Cutting and packaging

Plywood is cooled after it is pressed, it is sanded and it is cut to the request measures.

Once it is stacked and sheathed, it will have a label and it will be ready for send to the client.
